About Me...
All you need to know about Jean...
So I was born in 1971, the youngest of five kids. I grew up in Medford, NJ - don't say eww, it's actually a really nice place - but moved to Southern California when I was 17. Lived there till 2004, when I decided that making a bazillion dollars (ok, I wasn't a bazillionaire, but I did ok) in the internet industry isn't important, doing what you love is. I know, sounds corny, but that's what happened, so kiss my white butt.
Anyway, I'm going to community college now, part time till I figure out where I want to go next. I work at the college as well, which is a pretty sweet gig. I've finally started making some friends here and finally feel like I might be home. We'll see. I still get itchy feet, but maybe it's just to travel, not leave.
I also have a band. We rehearse every week, but we've never played anywhere outside of the college. Maybe that will happen this year, maybe not. But I think I'll be in a band for the rest of my life. IT'S REALLY FREAKING FUN!
I also give guitar lessons. It's a blast and I learn a lot by teaching. I think teaching is my calling, so the former dreams of being a rockstar are (happily, don't worry) changing into dreams of helping others achieve their own dreams. I'm one big cliche. Do I sound this corny is real life? Is real life just really corny?
