Music Lovers, Listen Up!

If I haven’t already forced you to go see him (for which I’m sure you’ve already thanked me), you WILL go see Willy Porter when he comes to a town near you. Heck, you may even need to go to a town not so near you. Trust me, he’s worth it.

By the way, THANK YOU TIMMY, for introducing him to me. He’s one of the best out there, a great singer, songwriter, and an AMAZING guitarist.

For part of the tour, he is accompanied by guitarist Martin Barre (formerly of Jethro Tull). Check out his website for tour dates.

“Willy Porter is a seasoned solo performer who honed his songs and his chops traveling across America and Europe playing to captive audiences everywhere. His songs are equal parts muscle and intimacy, and reveal a rarely achieved intimacy between an artist and his craft. Porter has long been known for his innovative and expressive guitar playing which the press have called everything from “startling” to “dazzling” to “killer”. The Boston Globe compares his playing to that of speed-picker Leo Kottke. But it’s his songs that have been gathering attention of late, especially since last year’s release of his first live album, High Wire Live."

Ooh… A live album! Nice.

(And, you’re welcome, Jean!) :-)
