It's so hard to say goodbye...
It is finally starting to feel real. After 9 years in Kansas City, we’re moving. Every experience has an added significance as it becomes the last time we ever (fill in activity here). Such is the case with our final sunday at a community that we love. Jacob’s Well has been a wonderful community for us. We have been blessed in so many ways by this group of people.
I feel that God has spoken to us in so many ways through the words, actions and the way this community lives out their lives. I believe that we are created with a deep desire to be in relationship with other people. I never truly understood that this desire was a desire for community. Community is to know and be known. It is to have needs met and meet the needs of others. It is enjoying life together on the same journey of striving know God more closely. How great it is to be in relationship with a diverse, talented, passionate, devout and humorous group of people! Now we head out on a new adventure; a sabbatical. We will attempt to simplify our lives and focus on aspects of our lives that we are neglecting. We will seek to cut away the distractions that have been accumulating in our life. The hardest part of this adventure is knowing that we leave our community behind. We will take with us the countless ways that these people have touched and inspired us in the time that we have shared with them.

As usual, you have hit the nail on the head. You won’t believe how hard it is to leave your community behind…especially one you have been in for so long. The first month or 2 should be easier, everything will be new, but then comes the realization that you miss all your old pals. Don’t dispair! They love you, wish you the best, and their ugly mugs (mine included) will be there when you get back! GOOD LUCK!Steve () - July 07, 2004 at 07:27 am
The waterworks are already starting.. No good, you can’t go. sigh. Okay, safe voyage and I can’t wait to see you two again. Sooner than later (hopefully). All the best my friends.sach () - July 07, 2004 at 1:34 pm
See, I really do read this thing. Jill and I were just talking today how difficult it will be to see you go. I can’t imagine the emotions that people are having that have known you for a lot longer than I have. You two are great and your departure will leave a significant hole in our impact group. Fortunately we’ll have the memories of the 1,286 “last opportunities to see Rob and Erica” that we’ve had over the last few weeks. Thanks for enriching my life with friendship over the past few months.Todd () - July 07, 2004 at 9:15 pm
Gosh, I’m going to miss you! As much as I’m going to love having your kayak for the year, I would much, much rather have your company than a kayak any day. I ditto everything nice that everyone else has said and add my very own: Much love and many blessings to you on your journeys!Mary () (URL) - July 08, 2004 at 2:10 pm

We still have the Classic in stock for a bit, so if that is something you cherish, get them now. But now to the Update of the Lebron James Shoes.
