Travelling

I hope you like the hobo kiwi picture Rob took in the Bay of Islands.

Big plans are being made. By us. We’re planning our trip back to the US, with many exciting stops along the way. We’re just not sure where they are yet.

Around the world ticket. Surprisingly not much more expensive than a one way back to the US ticket.

So many choices. Clearly we cannot see it all. But I’m getting so excited about the things we might get to see.

Here’s my question to anyone reading this: What is the coolest destination you have ever been to and why?

probably Cinque Terra, Italy. Wonderful

There are a lot of places out there to love. Are we talking all continents here? Because Africa is amazing—I was in Tanzania and loved it. But if you’re looking for something a little tamer, Nice, France is my favorite little city to relax in.

I’m fairly partial to Kansas City, MO, but… Ha ha ha!

I can’t answer that questions, really, because I haven’t been a whole lot of places outside of the US.

Still… Woohoo! Can’t wait to see you guys! :-D

I would have to recommend Greece—especially the Greek Isles. They really are as beautiful as they look in the postcards, and there’s definitely something peaceful about being on the islands. I wasn’t a big fan of Athens, but I’m guessing that the transportation infrastructure has been much improved since they hosted the Olympics.

Continuing the island theme, there are some great stops in the Caribbean—particularly the U.S. Virgin Islands (don’t forget to buy some really inexpensive alcohol while there).

And Rio de Janeiro should definitely be on your list. You will miss the rowdiness of Carnival (which is probably for the best), but the city itself is amazing.

I would also mention NZ and Australia, but something tells me you’ve already been there. Did you make it to the Great Barrier Reef? If not there is a great resort in a remote place called Cape Tribulation. Very relaxing, lots of fun…

Have a great trip!

I would have to put in my vote for Cinque Terre, as well. Prague is also really beautiful (so I hear) and inexpensive once you get there. That’s all I got :)
