More about the Nokia N800...
I’m still gearing up to buy the Nokia N800... Everything about it just seems so cool.
In my quest for information about this super-cool device, I found out that Nokia just released a new website called “The Internet Walk“ to showcase some of the things the N800 can do. Check it out here.

2007 Grammy Awards...
I don’t think I’m off-base in saying that last nights Grammy Rewards (hat tip to my brother-in-law, John, for giving them that name) were actually pretty entertaining. And, I don’t remember the last time I thought that.
The John Legend/Corinne Bailey Rae/John Mayer set was incredible (even a bit emotion-filled for me).

New accordion menu...
Thanks to Luis Huancapaza, I was able to implement a new accordion menu (the menu on the left side of this page) via his “Accordion Plus“ mod to the Rico codebase.
It’s not all that different, but it does add some useful functionality: (1) it automatically scales to the amount of information under the menu heading; (2) you can now close every menu item.
Enjoy!

Ring update...
I found it!
But, the story would probably take too long to tell at this point. In any case, I could have either set it where I found it or it may have even slipped off somehow. But, I’m very thankful that it is in my possession again!

Angry with Viacom...
This morning, I became a victim of bullet point #2, here. The funny thing is, the film that YouTube so kindly removed for me didn’t contain any copyrighted material belonging to Viacom or anyone else.
The film is called Extended Spaces. It was produced by myself and a few other students at CalArts. I wrote and produced the soundtrack.
Now, I must file a “DMCA counter-notification,” et cetera, et cetera. What a pain.
When I get a moment, I’ll upload the film to my own server.

PDA Hunt: The Nokia N800...
I think I may have found what I’ve been searching for: the Nokia N800 (or whatever is available by the time I have the money to buy something).
It’s got most of the media/file features I desire, web (Opera 8 with Flash 7!), VOIP, video conferencing, etc. And, what it doesn’t have can probably be found here. Why? Well, because the N800 runs on Linux and is completely open source! (Hear that Apple?)
