20 things American Christians should know...
1. America is not God, and Americans are not God’s chosen people. Prosperity is not proof of righteousness. If you would claim to be a Christian, then you are a Christian before you are an American. Period. This and 19 other must-read revelations at The H is O.

I hope you see my good heart with what I say but Boy.. what lot of hasty generalizations and stereotypes. We need to lookk at the positives of all Christians. It seemed to me that the article was not unifying the body of Christ. What is wrong with taking the Bible literal or posting the Ten Commandments? These are both positive things by having a moral and consistant standard to live by. I like to look at things where there is agreement rather than disagreement. I think as Christians we tend to overreact to rectify apparent problems we see when the overreaction is just as wrong as the problem we try to rectify. This goes for both sides. Christians need to make sure they are not in compromise or in legalism (the two extremes). People can state the right things but have a wrong heart. Many Conservative Christians fall into this trap (legalism)and many Liberal Christians fall into this trap (compromise). God help us to find the balance you desire. Just a thought.

The guy at the H is O is either very funny, mentally ill or both. Upon reading his stuff I decided that I just don’t have the energy to even begin to make comments.

Thanks for pointing that piece out Tim. Struck many a chord with me!

I guess I posted this because, like Richard’s comment here, this piece really struck a chord with me… And I tend to agree with everything that was stated in the piece as well — or else, I wouldn’t have posted a link to it.
I think the piece speaks for itself, so I don’t need to go on about it.
