Derrida is dead...

Sad news for the legions of PoMo:

PARIS (Reuters) – French philosopher Jacques Derrida, the founder of the school of deconstructionism, has died of cancer at the age of 74, France Info radio said on Saturday.

Jacques DerridaI first learned of Jacques Derrida at school. Soon after, he became one of the leading sources of inspiration for a short film that I made (you’ll have to look around for my name at that link — it’s about halfway down). I always kind of fantasized that I would be able to take a class from Derrida one day; time for that dream to end.
