The Evolution of the Photoshop Splash Screen...

Here’s a fun one to take you back:

Photoshop 1.0.7This screen is how I was introduced to back in high school. I’m amazed at how little Photoshop has actually changed over the years — I mean, it’s definitely gotten better and faster, added some great new features, et cetera, but the main User-Interface is about the same, as are the concepts behind all of the primary functions of the program (not that I’d trade CS2 for 1.0.7, mind you).

Thanks for that, Tim. I started with v.1 for the Mac. I haven’t made the jump to CS yet. I’m still trucking along with v.7 for Windoze…

Glad you found it entertaining, Wheat… Yeah, I remember creating gradients in PS on a black & white monitor and just thinking it was so cool!

(CS2 has some tools that I don’t know if I could live without now.) ;-)
