That is one simple word for our government, concerning the New Orleans flood disaster.

(And the next step would be to pull our troops out of Iraq so that they could actually server their own country for once.)

You are right about disaster preparedness… I guess when there hasn’t been a disaster in almost a hundred years (the last flood was in 1927), people get overconfident and lazy about those kinds of things.

Here’s the next $64,000 question: Given the tragedy in the Gulf Coast, the massive effort required to evacuate residents to safety, and the beating it is taking right now for its gross incompetence, will the administration/government still proceed with its extravagant plans to “celebrate” the anniversary of 9/11 next week?
