Waxing nostalgic...

'Swing Life Away,' by Rise AgainstI know I’ve got it bad when ‘s ““ comes on the radio and it brings a tear to my eye.

What is wrong with me?

The song’s been out for a little while now, but it is pretty good — just the type of song my friends and I would have sat around an listened to (or written) when we were kids. Join me in a good cry about your childhood and have a listen:

Would it make you feel better to know any of us could play drums better than that guy. He’s DREADFUL! My buddy’s band toured with them and i saw Rise Against play. This big, oafy guy who barely taps the drums and can hardly play one fill. Must be a REALLY nice guy or the band member with the money to pay for recording. But new record is pretty good…

And don’t start. We are hanging out in a few days and i already freak out about growing up and crap when you leave. No chick flick moments.

Well, there are no drums on this track, so I guess we’re all safe, right? ;-)

hey, i still get choked up from Wasted Years (Iron Maiden) and Goodbye to Romance (Ozzy). Don’t even start with me…

Ahhh… “Wasted Years”... Yes…. That one gets me every time. (But, I’d probably opt for “Mama I’m Comin’ Home,” by Ozzy).
