Music Meme: 1990, when R&B reigned (and sucked)...

Inspired by ‘s meme-of-late, I thought I’d partake as well:

1. Go to .
2. Enter the year you graduated from high school in the search function and get the list of 100 most popular songs of that year.
3. Bold the songs you like, strike through the ones you hate and underline your favorite. (Do nothing to the ones you don’t remember (or don’t care about.)
My goodness this was a bad year for music. Yikes! I’m really surprised by how many people had multiple hits in 1990, though (like Paula Abdul, Phil Collins, Michael Bolton, etc.)...

As you can see from the note above, Faith No More (at #75 on the charts) wins my “favorite song” award with, “Epic” — and I stil love to rock out the song today (“It’s it! What is it? It’s it! What is it?).

Tim, this was a fabulous post. For my particular year within the 100 in 1988 was “Together Forever” by Rick Astley. I used to love his songs but now I got it in my head and I can’t get rid of it. Thanks, bro. :(
I guess I’ll try to get that one out of my mind by replaying “Never Goin’ To Give You Up” by Rick Astley in my mind. That is a better song (although still cheesy) :)
Just having fun.

P.S. my winner for my year 1988 was “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns and Roses. I didn’t realize this came out in 1988. Shocking surprise. :)
