Music Meme: 1990, when R&B reigned (and sucked)...
Inspired by Andrew Careaga‘s meme-of-late, I thought I’d partake as well:
1. Go to musicoutfitters.com.My goodness this was a bad year for music. Yikes! I’m really surprised by how many people had multiple hits in 1990, though (like Paula Abdul, Phil Collins, Michael Bolton, etc.)...
2. Enter the year you graduated from high school in the search function and get the list of 100 most popular songs of that year.
3. Bold the songs you like, strikethrough the ones you hate and underline your favorite. (Do nothing to the ones you don’t remember (or don’t care about.)

Tim, this was a fabulous post. For my particular year within the 100 in 1988 was “Together Forever” by Rick Astley. I used to love his songs but now I got it in my head and I can’t get rid of it. Thanks, bro. :(
I guess I’ll try to get that one out of my mind by replaying “Never Goin’ To Give You Up” by Rick Astley in my mind. That is a better song (although still cheesy) :)
Just having fun.

P.S. my winner for my year 1988 was “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns and Roses. I didn’t realize this came out in 1988. Shocking surprise. :)

oh and Mariah Carey and Faith no More… Yeah, i’m wierd. I remember Mariah Carey was the first non-metal thing i thought was good. I still have her first record on CD. Faith no More? ha. Their best stuff is after this record. They were amazing, live.
