I get the joke and it is very funny. However, we are so quick to be humorous about the, second coming of Christ/rapture, when it is something that will happen. (I know rapture is a loaded term and in this post helping by showing the second coming of Christ which the Bible says “encourage each other with these words”) When you say hell I agree but Hell? that is another story. Tim, maybe your right. Maybe we need to understand Hell so that we can have compassion for those who aren’t Believers? We need to know the grevity of the place. ;) Your post was funny Tim. I enjoyed it and the responses. :)

Well, i dont subscribe to any of the Left Behind thinking or the rapture so its all humor to me. I have my Thomas Kinkade painting and Footsteps poem to protect me!

I guess it is hard when it says in 1 Thess.“16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words”

26“At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. 27And he will send his angels and gather HIS ELECT (remember many are called few are chosen) from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.”

This gets into pretribulational raputre. I’m not 100% on this but I am premillinial in my Belief. It appears the OPC is as well. I’m definitely not dispensationalist under the strict sense of the term. There are many different definitions of the term under the overgeneralized definition I’m not a dispensationalist. So on a funny note I’m a panmillinialist (it will all “pan out” before the millinial reign) who believes in a premillinial Kingdom fulfillment leaning to a mid trib but feel pre trib is not out of the question (although my opinion is mid). Whew, I need to take my breath. Thought Dennis you would be on the floor on this one. :)
