Informatio:

Another burglary...

Our front door was kicked in today. This is the second buglary we’ve had at our home in a little under a year and a half (remember?). Anyway, nothing was taken this time — thankfully, our alarm scared the perp off. The cop who took the report was a nice enough guy too.

Ugh.

Hi Tim. Sorry to hear about your house. I enjoy reading your blog over at http://emergingchurchblogs.info/ but it seems that recently your feed has been duplicating all of your posts from the past several weeks making each new post incredibly long. Don’t know if you realized this or if there is something you can do to fix this problem.

That’s horrible, man. I’m glad your alarm scared them off.

Thanks, guys.

“kindly friend” ~ I have just upgraded my blogging system to the latest version and there are some issues with the XML feeds. I’ll try to get them worked out asap. Thanks for letting me know!

That’s rough man. You may want to consider a door upgrade or something… word may get around that your door is indeed kick-in-able, alarm system or not. Is the dog vicious enough to attack anyone? Sorry to hear about it…

The door is of new matter — the first time was through the window.

And, no, Indy is definately not a guard dog… In fact, she sleeps in a crate in the basement. :-(

Thanks for the pix. Are you thinking of upgrading to a metal door? They’re a lot harder to kick in, I would guess. I suspect the only real deterrent at my house is my dog, who is not vicious but, due to the German Shepherd part of her ancestry, can look (and bark) pretty convincingly. There’s no total cure, of course. A real thief will always find a way in. You just have to make your place look like too much trouble compared to his/her other available options.

any new news? no suspects? Witnesses?

Dennis the menace () - December 30, 2005 at 1:49 pm

Nope. Nada. And there won’t be — it’s pretty much a done deal.

timsamoff () (URL) - December 30, 2005 at 2:04 pm

Wow Tim, real sorry to hear this news. What makes your house so attractive to burglars I wonder?

Jean - December 30, 2005 at 3:07 pm

So sorry to read this. Glad nothing was taken this time!

Rob - December 30, 2005 at 11:44 pm

Jean ~ I have NO idea!

Rob ~ Yes. Me too!
