ME. But that’s not a MacBook Pro is it? Tell your company you’re getting gypped!

I like the nice retro lines of that stapler. It looks like it dates back to the Truman administration. Still, you need to hurry up and personalize that cubicle pictures of Julianna and Indy, some whimsical personal effects (Pez dispensers, World’s Greatest Dad coffee mug, what-have-you) so it looks a little less like a surgical theater in there.

No… Not a Macbook — they purchased these last month, so the Macbooks will have to come later.
As for the “surgical theater” look. That’s a good one. That’s sort of what this place looks like — although, I admit that I did make the photos a little “cooler” looking in Photoshop, so there is a little more warmth here in real life.
Lastly, I am hesitant to do any personalizing in my cube because I’ll probably be moving to a new office in the next month or so. Living in generic beige for a little while isn’t too bad if it means that I don’t have to carry a bunch of boxes later.

Sorry Tim:
I wasn’t trying to diss your stapler. Actually the one you have is great. At the time since you didn’t appear to have one, I thought the Movie “Office Space” look would be good with the red Swingline. But hey, what you’ve got looks great, and we all know it’s about appearance anyway!!! He, he, he. For example, my boss just poked his head in the door and saw me typing away madly in a very focused appearance. So, I’m good for the day with him now.

James ~ Well, maybe one picture.
Larry ~ That’s hilarious. I never knew my Blog could be such a service. Maybe I should start charging for it. What do you think one minute of typing is worth if it makes you look good in front of your boss?

Larry I too was getting the same idea. I always thought Tim was really particular with his staplers and that they needed to be red and a “Swingline” brand? :) Just being humorous. I will be praying for you on this new job and may the Lord richly bless you.

Tim:
The real trick is that it’s got to be the right minute. So, if you had an early warning system, like a bell around the boss’s neck, so that you knew when his appearance was immanent there would be some real value there. I might be willing to part with a box of shiney new staples for your stapler for that information. However, who’s got the guts to put that bell around his neck??? P.S. He’s a really big guy.

Hmmm… Maybe I could roll that into part of the service. I’ll think about it.

Tim, I kind of have a crush on your stapler. Would you give it this note from me? It says: Dear Tim’s Stapler, I like you. Do you like me? Circle one: Yes No Maybe From Mary

Kyle and Mary ~ Glad you like the office supply.
Mary ~ I’m pretty sure my stapler would like you too — he’s been looking over my should as I read Blogs and I think he chuckled when your came up. So, let’s tentatively circle the “yes” choice and then we’ll make a final decision when you meet.

A little trick from Seinfeld. Buy your boss Tic Tacs, tell him he has bad breath and that he should carry them everywhere. He’ll never sneak up on you again…
