Another avo-update...

It’s been a while since my last avocado update. Since then, my tree has gotten to about six-feet tall, been pruned, and started to grow again. It’s a pretty amazing thing…

As you can see, three tree is still very hearty. It still stands nice and straight. The bark is forming nicely on the base of the trunk. The top (where I did most of the pruning) has new growth. The leaves are huge. I just wish I could it with a fruit-bearing tree so that we could actuall grow some real avocados!

Admittedly, I was a little worried about the pruning process. Everything I’ve read say that avocado trees should never be pruned (or, at least, they should be pruned as little as possible). But, everything seems to have gone well with mine… And, if I hadn’t, we would have had to find a taller room for the tree to reside (it was nearly touching the ceiling).

This has been my favorite plant, by far, and I can’t wait to see how it develops in the future.
